Thanksgiving Tradition

Everybody love Thanksgiving. We all love to get with family to eat turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Another thing that is great about Thanksgiving is getting to hangout with that you dont normally do during the year except for Christmas. Many families have traditions that they have or try to have every year. For my family, we usually do something different every year.

During the past years, we would all load up in the car and head to Buena Vista up in the mountains because my aunt and uncle had a cabin up there. We all looked forward to this because we just went there once a year and it was special because we were all together in this four bedroom cabin. Sadly, about 5 years ago, my aunt and uncle split up and had to sell the cabin, so we had to find a new spot for Thanksgiving.

We kind of have a new tradition now, although it is different each year. We started having Thanksgiving with my dads family every other year and my moms family every other year. When we have it with my dads family, we usually have it at my house which is a lot of fun. Now when we have it with my moms side of the family, we have it at my grandparents house, which is great because that was the tradition we had before we started going to Buena Vista.

Thanksgiving is a very special time for most people. It is very special for me because my biggest hobby is being with my whole family and that is one of the only times out of the year that i get to spend time with them. Most people like Thanksgiving for the food, but i disagree with them because i think its all about family time.
