Most people have favorite movies and watch them over and over again. I am definitely one of those people. I love to watch all the movies that have hot rods and muscle cars. If it has hot cars in it, Ive most likely seen it. I would have to say that my all time favorite car movie would have to be American Graffiti. This has to be one of the best classic car movies ever to be put on TV.
American Graffiti was filmed in 1973 and was set in the early 60's. This movie is basically about one Friday night and everybody is cruising around in 50's cars messing around and trying to keep away from the cops. If you are in to cars, this would be a great movie for you because the people in this movie really show how much they appreciate cars. There is a lot of drag racing and fast cars in this movie. This type of movie would have to be comedy and action.
The actors in this movie may or may not be familiar to some people. If anybody has watched old 60's movies or TV shows, they might recognize a lot of these actors. Some of the actors are Ronny Howard and he is a Opey from a famous TV show called The Andy Griffith Show. He is also in Happy Days with Henry Winkler. Another actor is Paul Le Mat and he is most famous in this movie because he drives a old 1932 Ford Deuce Coupe and most car lovers love this type of car. Another one would be Mackenzie Phillips and this was her big hit as well. She has been in some Disney Channel movies.
This movie has many great parts in it. I think that my favorite part would have to be when Paul Le Mat (John Milner) is cruising in his bad yellow 32 Ford with Mackenzie Phillips (Carol) and Milner is trying to get rid of her because he is in his mid twenties and she is 14 years old. He got stuck with her because he was trying to get hooked up with a good looking girl but got her instead. John has a reputation to protect around town and it is funny because he does everything he can to get rid of her. John ends up enjoying the company of this girl and they cruise for the entire night. I would definitely recommend watching this movie.
